Ganges class have been enjoying being transported back in time to when computer games and smart phones didn't exist with our new topic, 'Britain Begins'. As we start work on the Stone Age period we are linking our English focus to the narrative story, The Boy with the Bronze Axe. Our objective is to cover the Stone Age, Iron Age, Bronze Age and Roman occupation of Britain by the time Christmas comes around.
As we examine the different elements of a narrative story we have been thinking about some of the key characters in the book. Drawing on descriptions and aspects of the characterisation we have come across so far.
After much discussion in class the children have been giving their own take on the key characters in the story.
